St Laurence Church and Church Hall Roof Appeal

The new Stroud Parish Church was completed in 1868 incorporating the 13th Century bell tower. With the inevitable weathering of the roof tiles, it has proved over the last few years that patching of the roof is no longer a viable option. To avoid further water penetration, we now need to re-tile the complete roof. The estimated cost is £300,000.

The pictures show the current state of the Church roof.

St Laurence Church Hall, situated in the Shambles Conservation Area, has a pitched roof with very brittle concrete tiles which are continually breaking. To avoid further water penetration we need to replace the titles. The estimated cost is £150,000.

Donations to the Church and Hall Roof Fund would be much appreciated and can be sent the Church Office, The Shambles, High Street, Stroud, Glos, GL5 4SD
